An encapsulation of the precious moment before a rose opens to full bloom, the Rosette charm holds the promise of fullness and growth that comes with the first occasions of blush amongst a green spring. These rosebuds, carefully hand-carved from milky pink coral, were vintage dead-stock jewelry findings that we enlivened with hand wrought bails.

The Rosette charm is available without a chain here

Materials

Available in Sterling Silver, 14k Yellow Gold, and Gold Fill. The rosette charms are red branch coral recycled from antique jewelry.

The metals we use are recycled.

Coral

Coral has been cherished in jewelry for over 25,000 years. In Greek mythology, red coral was believed to be the petrified blood of Medusa, spreading into the sea after her death at the hands of Perseus. In Ancient Rome, it was used as a protective talisman against the evil eye, especially for children, and continues to be worn today as a symbol of luck.

All of our coral is repurposed from vintage jewelry, giving it new life and meaning.

Coral has a hardness of 3 to 4 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively soft and prone to scratching. This softness requires careful handling, especially when used in jewelry, to maintain its beauty over time.
