Stone

We updated these vintage charms to include a chunky new bail for longevity and style.

The scarab beetle, traditionally representing transformation and resurrection, immortalized as a carved stone cabochon. The stone rests in a solid 14k gold setting. The stone scarab pendant was originally part of a vintage bracelet, which we have edited into a series of pendant necklaces, in keeping with the scarab's nature of renewal.

Shown here on a petite figaro chain, elongated rolo chain, and paperclip chain.

Agate

Fine-grained agate is renowned for its mesmerizing concentric bands, which can display a stunning array of colors. This versatile stone has been prized for centuries, both for its beauty in jewelry and its durability in tools. Agate’s fine texture and structure give it a remarkable ability to retain a high-polish finish, allowing its vibrant patterns to shine through. From subtle earthy tones to bold, striking contrasts, agate continues to be a favored gemstone for its unique visual appeal and timeless elegance.

Agate has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, making it a relatively durable stone. This hardness allows agate to be used in a wide range of jewelry and decorative pieces, as it resists scratching and maintains its polished finish over time.

Ancient Egyptians revered the scarab beetle for its seemingly magical strength and mysterious life cycle. Khepri, an Egyptian god of the early morning with the head of a scarab, was believed to push the sun into the sky at the dawn of each day and down to the underworld at dusk, a myth likely inspired by observing scarab beetles pushing balls of dung across the sand.

Amazing quality!

This is my third stone scarab from R & R. Each one that I’ve purchased has been beautifully handcrafted and reworked to create a wearable vintage item. I have no doubt that these pendants are heirloom quality. Looking forward to seeing the new colors and sizes as they become available.

PS- love the new bail design, I’m able to slip the charm on many different chains with ease.
